Lynchburg - The 11th-annual Angels Race Triathlon is coming up soon, April 14th, starting from the Lynchburg Downtown Y.
Race Organizer Tim Groover says the race field is already 75 percent full and registration rates increase after Friday, March 15. Close to 500 athletes will compete in the swim, bike and run event, which for the first time this year will include two assisted athlete teams.
Tim Groover, ANGELS RACE ORGANIZER, said "The whole idea is you come out and you're competing in honor of someone or in memory of someone who is special to you and a lot of people doing things they never thought they could do, sort of challenging themselves to push themselves beyond what they think their limits are because of people who helped push them along in life."
