Lynchburg, VA- Tuesday night, Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg was on lockdown. The hospital was placed on lockdown around 8 p.m. Tuesday until 10:30 p.m.
A Lynchburg Police lieutenant says a nurse at the hospital thought he or she had seen someone she'd had problems with before and who, employees were told, may be armed and should not be there. They didn't take any chances, and they locked the facility down.
Police searched the hospital and could not find that person. They then went to the home of the person the nurse thought it was and determined he had not been the hospital that night.
