Tulsa County -
Maybe it's been a long week. And maybe it hasn't. But whatever kind of week you've had, the weekend is finally here and Tulsa is ready for you to get out and have some fun.
Here are some things you can do:
Before Arbor Day: Tulsa Community College will be hosting their EcoFest conference through Saturday for all those wishing to attend. From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tulsans can listen from speakers, enjoy live music and even receive their own free tree. The event is taking place at the Northeast Campus.
Get to the Zoo: Are you an annual-member of the Tulsa Zoo? Are your kids ready to hit the ground running for some Easter eggs? Wait no more because "Zoobilee" is back. Beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, employees with the zoo will hide more than 15,000 eggs around the zoo for kids. Costumes, arts and crafts and photos with Peter Cottontail will all be available for families.
For the four-legged ones: You and your dog can head to the Easter Biscuit Hunt from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Farm Shopping Center for their very own egg hunt. Just head over here to RSVP.
Get out of Tulsa: Load up the car and get to Owasso's Centennial Park for the "Owasso Egg Drop." Beginning at 11 and going on through 2 p.m., families can head to the park to witness a helicopter drop down thousands of eggs. Live music, inflatables and a magic show will also be available.
Hit the ground running: On Saturday, Elote's will be hosting their "Luchador Run" beginning at 5 p.m. at the downtown YMCA. The run will take participants through the Blue Dome District, the Brady District and end at the restaurant's location in the Deco District. Plenty of other activities are available for families such as ultimate frisbee, swing-dancing and of course, food!
