Convicted Felon Accused of Kidnapping, Raping Woman
A 41-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after reportedly kidnapping and raping a woman inside his vehicle.
Tulsa Police arrested Mark Vossler on Saturday morning in west Tulsa on complaints of kidnapping, forcible sodomy and first-degree rape.
According to the police report, the incident took place around 5 a.m. Saturday when Vossler offered to take a woman back to her home. On the way to the house, he pulled a knife on the woman and told her to remove her clothes.
During the incident, Vossler told the victim to perform sexual acts on him and if she didn't he "would kill her."
Vossler then told the victim to get into the back seat of vehicle where he proceeded to rape her, according to the arrest report. He also held the victim against her will after she told him she wanted to get out of the vehicle.
After more than an hour, the woman was able to get away from Vossler when she ran up to a Tulsa County deputy at an area QuikTrip. Officers were then able to arrest Vossler and transport him to the Tulsa County Jail.
Department of Correction records show that Vossler is a convicted felon as a sex offender. He is due in court on March 5.
