It's hard to imagine, but it's been almost 40-years since the end of the U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War.
Many of the people who fought in that conflict, have never received the recognition that's been given to other veterans.
So, to help right that wrong, the Tulsa's Air and Space Museum is honoring Vietnam Vets this month.
The theme for the 2013 Aviator Ball is "Welcome Home from Vietnam".
It will be held Saturday April 27th at the American Airlines Hangar-80.
The evening will start with a flyover of vintage war planes and a patriotic parachute jump.
That will be followed by cocktails and appetizers provided by some to Tulsa's finest restaurants.
The will also be a talk by Joe Galloway, the co-author of the best selling Vietnam era book "We Were Soldiers Once... and Young."
The museum will also unveil a Bell, Huey helicopter, that is being added to the permanent collection.
Tickets are available through the museum's web site.
