Lynchburg - Eighth-ranked Lynchburg College racked up eight goals in the first quarter to take charge, and the Hornets cruised to a 17-2 win over crosstown rival Randolph College in ODAC men's lacrosse Wednesday night at L.C.
Max Voumard led the Hornets with four goals, Lynchburg led 11-0 at the half and 15-0 after three quarters. Randolph goalie Cam Davis made 20 saves on the night, but he was under attack most of the game. Colton Wood and Andrew Gleitz scored for Randolph. With the victory, Lynchburg improves to 9-and-2 overall, 4-and-0 in the ODAC.
The Hornets will host arch-rival Roanoke College Saturday night at 7. Randolph drops to 5-and-6 on the season, 2-and-2 in the ODAC.
