Lynchburg Baseball Battles Bridgewater on Senior Day


Lynchburg - Lynchburg College Baseball honored Michael Burks, Dan Savage, Michael Kenah and Brock Shiflett Saturday afternoon on Senior Day.

The Hornets hosted regular season champ Bridgewater in a doubleheader before next week's ODAC Tournament in Lynchburg.

            Second inning, LC junior Dustin Arrowood out of Rustburg singled to left and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt.  
              Then with two outs, Jake Tanner out of Liberty High School hammered one to left over Nick Fulk's head, Arrowood scored on the rbi double by Tanner, 1-0 Lynchburg.
               Bridgewater later tied it in the fifth and took the lead in the eighth, former JF star Bryan Sanderson scored the game-winner.  The visiting Eagles won game one 2-1 and added game two 3-2, Bridgewater finishes the regular season with a 19-and-1 ODAC record.  The Eagles will be the top seed in the ODAC Tournament beginning Thursday at Lynchburg City Stadium.
