Lynchburg - Hampden-Sydney wiped out a 1-0 deficit to Roanoke by scoring three runs in the seventh, and the Tigers beat the Maroons 3-1 on day two of the ODAC Baseball Tournament at Lynchburg City Stadium.
Roanoke starter Tyler Grouten was cruising with a four-hit shutout and 1-0 lead until the seventh when the Tigers broke loose.
Jack Elliott singled to right to plate Nathan Chamberlin to tie the game at one. Hampden-Sydney added two more, Patrick Kuhns with the go-ahead rbi single to right, bringing in Andrew Tucker.
The Tigers' Hunter Lewis allowed just one run and four hits in 8-and-a-third innings to get the win.
Hampden-Sydney stays alive in the double-elimination tournament while Roanoke is eliminated.
