A group of Tulsa Police Officers and other volunteers are walking to Stillwater this week.
It's the fourth annual Jared Shoemaker Memorial Walk which raises money for the Special Olympics of Oklahoma to honor the former police officer who was killed while serving in Iraq in 2006.
The group will walk 25 miles a day reaching Stillwater Wednesday evening just in time for the Opening Ceremony for the Special Olympics.
Three police officers started the walk in 2008 with the hope of raising at least $500. They collected $11,000 that first year and another $20,000 since then.
Donations can be made on the Special Olympics website.
