Lynchburg - One of the area's top high school basketball junior stars has made an early college decision.
V.E.S. guard Anthony Swan announced Thursday he's committed to George Washington University in the nation's capital. Swan, who has a cousin who's the head associate coach at G.W., said it was a difficult decision. He had narrowed his final three to G.W., Miami and Cincinnati. But the Colonials win out.
Anthony Swan, COMMITS TO GEORGE WASHINGTON, said "I have the best opportunity to play my freshman year. I feel like I'll be a good fit to the team and to the system and to the program. The main decision was what would be the best fit and where will I get the best exposure to possibly go to the next level. And it was a tough decision."
