The Shoppes On Peoria are officially open.Saturday afternoon, Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett, City Councilor Jack Henderson and the Tulsa Economic Development Corporation had an official ribbon cutting ceremony.Construction began in January of last year on the 17,000 sq. ft. shopping center.It's located northeast of downtown at 1717 N. Peoria, which is near Pine & Peoria."Everyone is a consumer, and it doesn't matter what side of town you're on, if you have a good product and good customer service, people are going to come," says business owner Tim Smallwood.Six of the 12 shops are open for business with two more businesses to be opening in the next 80 days. Still more businesses are in the works.About 50 employees have been hired already.
