Update: No Charges In May Death of Lynchburg Woman

Lynchburg, VA - An investigation into the death of a Lynchburg woman last May has been completed and no criminal charges will be filed.  29- year-old Amy Connely Hewett's death had originally been classified as suspicious.

Members of the Lynchburg Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division met with representatives of the Lynchburg Commonwealth Attorney's Office to review the evidence in the case.

After a thorough review of the complete investigation, the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office concluded that the facts and the physical evidence were insufficient to establish that another person was criminally responsible for Amy Hewett's death; accordingly, there are no criminal charges pending at this time.
