Undercover Officer Arrests Homeless Man on Prostitution Complaint
East Tulsa -
A homeless man is behind bars Friday morning after an encounter with an undercover vice unit officer lead to his arrest.
Tulsa Police placed Sonny Prego under arrest late Thursday evening at a hotel in east Tulsa. He was booked on two complaints including soliciting an act of prostitution and use of a computer to solicit the act.
According to his arrest report, the undercover officer located Prego through an advertisement on a website's escort section. The officer wrote that "he has made numerous prostitution related arrests from this website."
Prego's advertisement on the website read, "Extremely gorgouesz busty Latina."
When the officer arrived at the hotel room, Prego came in and offered to perform a sexual act in exchange for $150, according to the police report. The officer then revealed his association with Tulsa Police and the vice unit responded to the room.
When officers had him in custody Prego stated that he had been previously arrested for a similar prostitution charge in Tennessee.
