The Green Country Camp of Champs is pledging to give its profits to the Red Cross for relief efforts in Moore, following last week's tornado.

"It's just an effort to show that, you know, we love them down there, we wish them well, and we'll do what we can to help," said former Edison wrestling coach Ray Nunneley.

The three-day camp hosted between 65 and 90 children each day with champion clinicians from OU and OSU at Edison High School. A group of former Edison wrestlers planned the event to inspire a renewed interest in wrestling among Green Country residents.

Some high school wrestlers taking the camp told Channel 8 the pledge to help Moore is, "a great decision".

OU wrestler Kendric Maple helped teach at Sunday's camp. He said while the message of the day might possibly be lost on the some of the younger participants, the event encouraged area wrestling and helped a great cause.

"I think they're just here to have fun and enjoy it. I mean, that's what we can give to them and then everything else goes to Moore," said Maple.

Event organizers said they had hoped more people would stop by the camps to make donations. However, anyone who would like to help may text REDCROSS to 90999 to give a $10 donation to Red Cross disaster relief or visit this link
