Lynchburg City Council Approves Centra Building Swap

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg City Council signed off Tuesday night, on Centra taking over the city's existing health department building.

In turn, Centra will provide the city with a newly renovated facility in the Plaza shopping center, currently housed by StarTek. For some time, Centra has been eyeing the health department facility, located adjacent to Lynchburg General Hospital.

The city says they stand to benefit, because the health department is ideally located near a bus stop, and in a central part of the city.

The building swap passed council with a unanimous vote.
