The beginning of Joseph Randle's professional football career has not been ideal. But the former Oklahoma State running back is trying to make the best of it.
He's been suffering from a broken right hand. He had thumb surgery to fix the problem.
Randle has had limited partcipation in the Dallas Cowboys OTA's. He's basically been going through the motions. Monday Randle and the Boys started mini-camp down at Valley Ranch.
Randle is expected to get the cast off his broken right hand next week and it couldn't come soon enough for him.
"It's a little frustrating that I couldn't come in here at 100." Randle said. "If I didn't have this (cast) I would have come in here at 100%. I would have like to have come in here in the best shape of my like but I really couldn't work out. I just got my stitches out a couple of days ago so I was limited to what I could do. I just need to get back on track in my work outs and stuff like that."
Randle and the Cowboys continue with their mini-camp Wednesday and Thursday. He was selected by Dallas in the fifth round of April's NFL Draft.
