UPDATE: Monday 12:15 p.m.

Lynchburg, VA - Only about 500 customers remain without power as of Monday morning, four days after storms knocked out power to 175,000 homes and businesses in Virginia.

Crews have been hard at work since Thursday's storms.

At last check, about 500 customers in Roanoke County were still waiting for the lights to be turned back on.

There was a widespread outage today in Bedford County not connected to these storms.

Officials say a tree fell over, causing close to 1000 outages. Now, that number has been reduced back to about 100 outages.
