The Tulsa man charged with gunning down a bar owner in 2011 was found guilty by a jury Monday afternoon.
The week-long trial for Jacob Wayne Smith, 31, began last Monday. He was accused of shooting and killing Luis Torres, owner of Mi Oficiana Bar in December of 2011.
Jurors returned a guilty verdict for Smith's first-degree murder charge Monday afternoon, as well as three additional charges of feloniously pointing a firearm,
Jurors recommended punishment of life in jail with the possibility of parole.
Smith will be formally sentenced next Monday, June 24th.
