TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama senior guard Trevor Releford is one of 20 collegiate players to have been invited to participate in the 2013 LeBron James Skills Academy. Releford is among an elite group of collegiate players from across the country to earn the invite to the prestigious camp, which is held from July 6-8 in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Skills Academy features the nation's top-80 high school players as well as the top-20 college standouts taking part in four days of intense skill-development work and competition in front of hundreds of media members and scouts from nearly every NBA team.

"I am excited for this great opportunity to represent myself and the University of Alabama," Releford said. "It is another step towards my ultimate goal. I want to be able to perform at the highest level next season and the way you get better is by competing against the best players in the nation."

Releford returns for his final season at Alabama in 2013-14, and enters the year as the Southeastern Conference's active leader in points, assists and steals. He finished the 2012-13 campaign leading the Tide in scoring  (14.9 ppg), steals (2.1 spg), three-point shooting (.407), free throw percentage (.824) and field goals made (167) and attempted (351) on the year.

In addition, Releford finished the year with 70 steals, and in doing so, he became the program's all-time steals leader (194).
