Lynchburg Jefferson Stays Alive with 5-2 Win


Lynchburg - The Lynchburg Jefferson All-Stars, needing a win to stay alive, beat Lynchburg Colonial 5-2 Monday night in Little League District Two 11 & 12-year-old action.

John Kistler drove in all five runs for Jefferson with a 3-run and 2-run homer.  He also shifted to the mound to get the final out as Jefferson handed Colonial its first tourney loss and forces a final game Tuesday night at 7.

The winner advances to the Little League State Tournament in Lynchburg starting July 19th.
