Campbell County, VA - If there was a class for criminals on what not to do, two men charged with a Campbell County break-in could teach the course, many say.

The two men are accused of burglarizing the Burley's Market Convenience store early Sunday morning.

The owner says surveillance video captured the two suspects tripping the alarm, not wearing any gloves, and their disguises not doing much to hide their identities.

I guess this is just the dumbest thing I've seen in my life," Sap Sachdeva said with a chuckle, after reviewing the surveillance video.

At 3:45 a.m. Sunday morning, you can see two men smashing their way into Burley's Market and stealing roughly $1,500 worth of cigarettes and a case of beer.

"One of the suspects cut themselves trying to get beer out of a cooler," said Investigator Brandon Epperson with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office.

Along with the DNA, the store owner recognized one suspect as a frequent customer.

Something else that caught the attention of investigators, too.

"A particular item of clothing, a shirt that one of the suspects was wearing," Epperson added.

Epperson said the suspect was wearing the same red flannel shirt when he was cited for underage drinking less than 24 hours before.

By Monday afternoon, the Campbell County Sheriff's Office had Kenneth Snell, Jr., 20, and Joshua Witt, 20, in custody.

They're both charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny and wearing a mask in public.

"I might send it to the dumbest criminals video," Sachdeva added.

For investigators, dumb people doing dumb things is just another day on the job.

"We've actually found wallets with identification cards," Epperson recalled.

The two suspects are being held in the Campbell County jail without bond.

Investigators say more charges are pending.
