UPDATE: Roanoke Co. Police: Two Killed in 460 Accident

UPDATE: 4:45 a.m.

Roanoke, VA - Roanoke County Police say Leon Brandau, 69, was heading east near the Dixie Caverns exit, when Doris Moran, 71, pulled out in front of Brandau on Peaceful Drive.

Officials say both Moran and her passenger Elgenna Cassell, 73, were both killed.

Brandau was taken to a local hospital.

Police say all occupants were wearing their seatbelts, and that speed was not a factor.

UPDATE: 1:15 p.m.

Roanoke Co., VA - Two people died in a crash on 460 in Roanoke County this morning.

Roanoke County Police tell us a vehicle was heading eastbound near the Dixie Caverns exit, when a second vehicle on Peaceful Drive pulled out in front of it.

Two people inside that second vehicle were killed.

Police are working to notify next of kin.

Roanoke Co., VA - VDOT says to expect delays due to a multi-vehicle accident on US 460 near Peaceful Drive in Roanoke County.

The east left lane of 460 and right lane of 460 are closed as of 10:52 a.m., according to VDOT'S website.

VDOT says West Main Street Eastbound traffic is being detoured onto Peaceful Drive.
