JSU football picked fourth in OVC preseason poll

Jacksonville State football has a preseason gauge to the season.

The Gamecocks were picked fourth in the nine team Ohio Valley Conference by the league's coaches and sports information directors.

JSU was picked behind Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee State.

Gamecocks' running back DaMarcus James and offensive lineman Tarik Milner were named to the preseason all-OVC team.

Jacksonville State opens the season against Alabama State in Montgomery on August 31.
