A shooting in downtown Jasper leaves one man dead

JASPER - AL -

 A 31 year old male was shot and killed Monday night in downtown Jasper.

Connie Rowe, Chief of the Jasper Police Department said the shooting took place around 10:30 p.m. on 29th Street East.

Following the shooting, Joe Edward Ross, 31,  attempted to flee in a vehicle, struck a tree and died.
