Danville, VA-- Republican gubernatorial candidate, Ken Cuccinelli was in Danville all day on Thursday.
Thursday night he spoke at a "Candidate Meeting", hosted by the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce.
During the meeting Cuccinelli touched on several topics including the benefits of the new energy bill that passed. He also talked about the need to revamp workforce development. He says he's against uranium mining anytime in the near future.
Cuccinelli also assured the crowd of his transparency.
"I've been an open book and he has not," said Cuccinelli. "It's consistent with his failure to participate in debates. We've had one, and there's only one other scheduled, which I think is really unfortunate for Virginia. I offered 15, including here in Danville and they said that was absurd."
The Chamber of Commerce said they've invited democratic candidate, Terry McAuliffe, for a candidate meeting too, but so far it hasn't been set.
