Investigators Asking for Help From Anyone Who Has Seen Taylor's Truck

Nelson Co., VA - Randolph, or Randy Taylor is in the Albemarle County jail charged with abduction of Alexis Murphy.

At a press conference earlier Monday, investigators said they arrested Taylor without incident Sunday night.

Investigators now want to speak with anyone who may have seen Randy Taylor's truck. They are trying to nail down anywhere that Randy Taylor may have been since Alexis went missing.

ABC 13 cameras were rolling when the camo colored GMC 1500 suburban was towed away from house where Taylor was arrested.

Investigators tell ABC 13 that the truck is now being processed for evidence.

At the scene earlier Monday, multiple FBI agents on the Taylor property, and it was not the only place the FBI was searching.

About a hundred yards away, the FBI had the entrance to Country Lane blocked off and the media was being told by one of the agents the area was being treated as an active crime scene.

ABC 13 witnessed multiple agents with backpacks hiking up the path towards the wooded area of the mountain.

Investigators say wooded areas are making the search very difficult.

"As you know it is quite difficult to bring this type of case to resolution, quickly and thoroughly, especially when time is of the essence and the area to be searched is so extensive and comprised of such challenging terrain," FBI Agent Jeff Mazanec said.

If you have seen the truck or have any information that may help in bringing Alexis home, you are asked to call the Nelson County Sheriff's Office at 434- 263-7050.
