Summary: With Liberty returning most of its skill players on offense, including 1,000 yard rusher Matthew Smith, the Minutemen should light up the scoreboard once again this year. They averaged 31 points a game last season and it could have been more except for a number of turnovers, something Head Coach Chris Watts hopes his team can cut down this year. Liberty will have to play much better defense than it did a year ago. As Watts says, if you average 31 points a game, you should have a great chance to win most all of your games. One offensive star the Minutemen lost to graduation was Trevon Lightfoot. Liberty is seen by many as one of the top teams in the Seminole District this season.
