Pulaski, VA- A gunman is dead after a multi-city shooting spree that ended in Pulaski. It all started Friday night in Christiansburg when police there were called to a home on Kays Drive around 6:20 p.m.
There they found 36-year-old Derek Scott Roberson, with an apparent gunshot wound. Roberson was pronounced dead on the scene.
Police say the suspect, 60-year-old Clinton Morris, fled the home right before they arrived. Morris' trail went cold in Christiansburg but it was picked up in Pulaski, when police there received a shots fired call around 7 o'clock.
They responded to the intersection of North Jefferson Avenue and Northwest Sixth Street and found two men dead of apparent gunshot wounds. One man was Clinton Morris. Police have identified the other man as 45-year-old Barry Roberson.
Pulaski police believe Morris shot Roberson and then turned the gun on himself. No other suspects are being sought in connection with this case, and the investigation is ongoing.
