UPDATE: Lynchburg Police Arrest Shooting Suspect

Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Police Department arrested Jeremiah Deshawn Scott Tuesday in the 300 Block of Towne Crier Road in Lynchburg without incident.

Scott is being held without bond at the Lynchburg Blue Ridge Regional Jail. He is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the incident.

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg Police have identified the man they say is responsible for a shooting this weekend.

They are looking for Jeremiah Deshawn Scott, 25. He is wanted for aggravated malicious wounding, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police say Scott shot Raymond Anthony Braxton, 48, of Greensboro, NC in the area of 11th Street and Monroe Street just after midnight on Saturday August 17.

According to Lynchburg Police, he should be considered armed and dangerous.
