Lynchburg, VA – Lynchburg Police have arrested a man who had already been convicted of child pornography in February. Chad Jarrett, 28, was arrested on August 13 and charged with 20 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

On January 12, ABC 13 reported that Jarrett had to be rescued after falling from rocks on Devil's Marbleyard in Rockbridge County.

After conducting an investigation on August 12, officers with the Lynchburg Police Department determined that Jarrett had provided false information to emergency personnel.

Preliminary results of the forensic examination revealed multiple files of child pornography present on the devices.

Jarrett is being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail in Lynchburg without bond.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lynchburg Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division.
