Lynchburg Hillcats Partner With Hunters for the Hungry

Lynchburg, VA - Be sure to break out your camo Thursday night. It's Hunters for the Hungry night at the Lynchburg Hillcats game.

Fans that wear their camouflage to the ballpark will receive half off their admission. And proceeds from a raffle will go to help Hunters for the Hungry, an organization that helps provide deer meat to local needy families.

Recently due to a drop in deer meat availability, the nonprofit has been struggling.

Thursday's game, the Hillcats' General Manager says is the perfect opportunity to help, "It's outdoors night, camouflage night so really you can get in for half price if you come in camo or some camouflage outfit, camo cap or an orange vest" said Paul Sunwall, the Hillcats' GM.

The Hillcats will be taking on the Carolina Mudcats. The first pitch will be thrown at 7 p.m.
