Lynchburg Chamber Hosts 4th Annual Wing Fling

Lynchburg, VA - More than 900 people packed into the Wyndhurst Town Centre Thursday night for the fourth annual Wing Fling.

It's all a fundraiser for the Lynchburg regional Chamber of Commerce. The event included live music, and a nuclear hot wing eating contest, hosted by Areva.

It's the Chamber's biggest fundraiser of the year, and perhaps their most important.

"All of the great work we do in the region, the transportation projects, the legislative things we work on on behalf of our businesses, this money helps fund that" said Chamber Vice President, Christine Kennedy.

Here's a fun fact: 900 tickets were sold, assuming each person ate at least six wings, that's a minimum of 5,400 wings consumed.
