UVa's Anthony Harris Earns National Honor


Charlottesville - UVa's Anthony Harris has been honored as the national Defensive Player of the Week by the Walter Camp Football Foundation.

Harris had a monster game in Saturday's win over BYU,  including blocking a punt setting up Virginia's first TD and making 12 tackles, including a quarterback sack with three solo stops. Harris saved the best for last, his interception with three minutes to play set up Virginia's winning touchdown in the 19-16 victory.

Alabama receiver Christion Jones earned Offensive Player of the Week honors,  Jones lit up Virginia Tech for 256 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in the 35-10 win.
