A renewed defense was the theme Saturday for our state schools. In Norman, OU held Louisiana-Monroe to only 166 total yards. A year ago they gave up almost 400 yards a game.
The Sooners are led on defense by cornerback and Owasso native Aaron Colvin.
Saturday he had four tackles and one pass break up.
Bob Stoops is highly impressed with what Colvin brings to the table. "A lot makes him special." said Stoops, "His talent. His speed. His coveragability. Then just go with his leadership and pride. He's really a prideful player that he doesn't want a ball caught on him."
The Sooners host West Virginia Saturday in Norman at 6:00pm.
