Update: Police Identify Man Who Was Found Dead in Danville Home


UPDATE 10:45 a.m.:

Danville, VA - Danville Police have identified the man they say was found shot in the head overnight at a Danville home.

He has been identified as Quentin Jarrod Barley, 33.

There was a lot of police activity at the scene off Beaver's Mill Road as officers responded about 1:30 a.m.

Police say that officers are not looking for any suspects in connection with this case.


UPDATE:  7:38 a.m.

Danville, VA - In a press release sent Thursday morning, Danville Police would only call the death of a man at a home a "shooting incident."

They say the man's body will be sent to Roanoke for an autopsy.

Danville Police say the shooting is under investigation.


Danville, VA - Danville Police are investigating after officers say they found a man dead in a home overnight.

Police haven't released much information, but we do know that they were called out to a home on Beavers Mill Road about 1:25a.m.  Police say they found the man dead inside, with a gunshot wound to the head.

They have not released his identity.  A woman on the scene that says the victim is the father of her four children.

Police have not yet said if any foul play was involved.
