Danville, VA-- A new study shows Danville's River District will need a lot more parking as the area develops.
The city hired consultants, Carl Walker Inc. for a parking study.
Their findings suggest adding a parking deck on Main Street where the old Downtowner site is. The deck would stretch across to Spring Street.
The consultants also suggested an additional 2,000 parking spaces in the Tobacco Warehouse District.
City Council will see the full report at its work session next week.
