Organization Paying Students to Stay in School

Posted:

Danville,VA - A national organization that just moved to Martinsville from Louisiana is using cash incentives to help kids graduate.

It's called the Children of America Educational Foundation. They give monthly cash incentives to children in their program, starting at $100 for 7th graders. They also mentor and tutor the students.

The president of the organization said it's all about helping children know the importance of staying in school.

"If we can educate our young people then we have an opportunity for the jobs to come back to America," said Roy Simon, President of Children of America Educational Foundation.
