Lynchburg Teens Organize Charity Alzheimer's Lacrosse Tournament

Lynchburg, VA - Hundreds of players and spectators came out Sunday for a Lacrosse charity tournament in Lynchburg, all organized by two teenagers.

Holly Hudson and Tee Brogan are students at Virginia Episcopal School.

The organizers say all of Sunday's proceeds will be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

Both girls say they have loved ones who have been affected by Alzheimer's, and the both love lacrosse, so they say they decided to combine both things for a good cause.

"My Grandmother had Alzheimer's," said Brogan.

"…My neighbor, who's a really good family friend [has Alzheimer's, too," Hudson added.

"So we just thought it would be a really good way to incorporate two things that we are really passionate about, we've both played Lacrosse for a really long time," Brogran explained.

The teens say the event couldn't have happened without all of the people who volunteered their time to help out, including the referees.
