Jefferson Forest High School Implements New ID Scanners

Forest, VA - We told you about Jefferson Forest Middle School implementing a new school security system.  Now Jefferson Forest High School is implementing theirs.

Starting Monday morning, the high school will use its new I-D card reading machine.

The system, Complete Campus Security Solution, is an addition to their current kid ID system, Ident-A-Kid.  Now visitors to the school will have their drivers license scanned before they're given access to the building.  The I-D scanner cross references the name on the I-D against a sex offender registry.

The new security system was added using the schools own funds, which cost only a little than $200.
