Martinsville - The top late model stock car drivers from the East Coast will converge on Martinsville Speedway this weekend for Sunday's Virginia is for Racing Lovers 300.
92 drivers tested last week. Former national champion Peyton Sellers feels he's got a car good enough to win.
Peyton Sellers, FORMER WHELEN NATIONAL CHAMPION, said "It's big to me, I love right here in Danville. Danville's home to me. A lot of people coming from here to watch us this Sunday. I've got a lot of sponsors that are local that are going to come up and watch the race, so the pressure's on a little bit. But hey, we're just looking forward to having a lot of fun come Sunday."
Lee Pulliam, 2-TIME DEF. NAT'L CHAMP (29 WINS THIS YEAR), said "You know we've been competing for the win up here the last three years. We've got two poles out of three starts and a win, a second and a fifth. So really strong track for us, we're really looking forward to it. Think we've got a program better than ever."
