Lynchburg, VA - The United States Senate this week could take up a bill that would provide back-pay to government employees not receiving a paycheck during the shutdown.

The retroactive pay bill, passed unanimously in the House on Saturday. If it passes the senate, it could provide a pay check to more than 800,000 federal workers, including 14 TSA employees who've been working unpaid, at the Lynchburg Regional Airport.

If the bill, co-sponsored by both Tim Kaine, and Mark Warner, passes the senate, President Obama has said that he would sign the bill into law.
