Chocolate prices are going up, so our crews stopped by Glacier Confection in the Brady District.
Bill Copeland is the owner and says weather conditions and a higher demand have made the cocoa crop in shorter supply.
That means a 25% increase in prices worldwide.
Glacier has been buying in advance and locking in prices to keep costs down.
"What we're trying to do is to secure as much of the commodity as we can so we'll have it for the holiday season," Copeland says.
Most of the cocoa beans they use come from Africa and South America.
