Lynchburg, VA - A couple Lynchburg schools had special visitors from Russia Tuesday.
Russian educators came for the OpenWorld program, which brings leaders from Euro-Asian countries to get firsthand exposure to the American education system.
Five Russian educators and a professional interpreter came to attend a delegation hosted by the Rotary Club of Lynchburg. They spoke to the students of Virginia Episcopal School and Central Virginia Community College.
"We came to exchange our professional experience. We came to learn how the school system in the US works, to exchange ideas," said Russian school principal Daniel Kazantev.
The Russian educators want to work together with the U.S. and make education even better for students in both countries.
