There's a new report out that finds the majority of kids in school right now are low income.

This analysis is based on the number of students from preschool through 12th grade that are eligible for free or reduced lunch.
Virginia has a decent rating compared to other states - at 36.7 %.
The Washington Post reports 17 states have high numbers of low income kids, and 13 of those are in the South.
