Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg's newest Panera Bread location is officially open for business.
The Lynchburg Regional Chamber helped celebrate Wednesday morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the restaurant off Lakeside Drive. The Chamber says this is the fourth business ribbon-cutting they've had recently at the Fresh Market Station shopping center.
The new store has a drive-thru, and even catering.
"Yes, we do offer catering services, in which we can deliver to businesses. We can serve up to 500 people," said Allie Munsey of Panera Bread.
Panera also gave $3,000 Wednesday to the Blue Ridge area Food bank. In fact, it you help pack the bus out front, you'll get a Panera treat for your donation. Donations will be accepted until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. They are requesting items like canned goods and powdered milk.
