Danville, VA - A local theatre group is putting a new spin on a classic Shakespeare play. Danville Center Stage debuted their version of "Macbeth" last week.
Instead of the standard setting, the play is set in the 1920's.
Everything from the set, costumes and make-up are black and white, and gray scales, to look like a classic film.
The group did a performance of Midsummer Night's Dream during the Summer. They felt the much spookier Macbeth would be a perfect fit for Halloween.
"There's a lot of murder, there's a lot of witches. It's a very Halloweeny show naturally, and we've got 3 more performances coming up this week, so we hope they'll really enjoy it, " said Producer Nathan Galvez.
The play will run November 1- 3 at 767 Main Street in Danville. Showtime is 8 p.m.
