The show follows nine aspiring chefs as they compete for the title of executive chef of a flagship restaurant in Las Vegas.
The contestants get on a tour bus driving around to different cities, to test their culinary skills and their ability to run a restaurant.
"It's completely surreal, the whole thing has been. I have a passion for cooking and why not share it with as many people as possible," said Ruocco. Food Network is obviously the best avenue for a chef to be able to share with everyone.
