UPDATE: 12:07 p.m.

Roanoke, VA - Police are trying to track down a suspect, they believe, may have left one woman dead and a second one injured.

Police were called to the 1000 block of 7th Street, southeast, just before 5:30 a.m., where they found the victims.

Police are not saying a whole lot about the situation just yet as they are still trying to piece the event together. Investigators do say the incident is possibly domestic in nature.

When police arrived at the home, a duplex that sits on the corner of 7th and Albemarle Avenue, they found one victim stabbed, but still alive, with another victim dead.

A third person found in the home, described as a toddler, was unhurt. He was taken to the hospital for a precautionary check-up.

While police are not releasing the identities of the victims, or who it is they are looking for, neighbors say a mother and daughter lived in the home and were caring for the child. We're told they are grandmother and aunt to the child.

"It's just got me puzzled. I just don't know what to think or feel because they didn't bother anybody. They stayed to themselves," said Chantel Weeks, who lives next to the crime scene.

An APB has been issued for the suspect, who has yet to be caught.
