A Wagoner man is in jail this week after reportedly driving drunk and killing a 12-year-old boy on a bicycle.
Wagoner Police arrested Richard Roth and booked him for first degree manslaughter. He was taken into custody after he allegedly hit Billy Lord on his bicycle around 11 p.m. Friday.
Authorities stated that the boy killed and his brother were riding their bikes home when they were hit by an SUV reportedly driven by Roth. An officer stated that he left the scene but later returned and was arrested, according to the Associated Press.
Roth is being held in the Wagoner County Jail awaiting formal charges. He also was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
