Oral Roberts University had an off night on Wednesday and was tripped up by the University of Arkansas, 91-33, at Bud Walton Arena. With the loss, ORU falls to 1-2.
Christian Key led the Golden Eagles with seven points, while Sarah Shelton had a team-best seven rebounds. As a club, Oral Roberts was 13-for-45 (28.9%) from the field and committed 36 turnovers.
Arkansas (2-0) was led by Jessica Jackson's 19 points, while Kelsey Brooks pumped in 15 points off the bench. The Razorbacks shot 44.0% from the floor, made 20 steals, and hit nine three-point field goals.
ORU had several good efforts off the bench, including Carolina Lopez, who scored four points and added five rebounds. Noora Jaervikangas came out of reserve to lead the team with three assists.
Shelton had a team-high two blocked shots, while Alexus Wilson led the club with two steals.
Arkansas has now beaten ORU 13 consecutive times, including five times in the last four seasons.
The Golden Eagles will look to get back on track in their next game, on Friday, November 22 against Navy.
